Visiting Family in North Carolina

My visit here at NC is coming to a close. I have been able to spend a whole week with my daughter, son-in-law and granddaughter (Elle). Elle loves to watch me work out and enjoys chewing on my resistant band!
Even though we live only four hours away I wish we lived closer. I get to visit them about four times a year, and that just doesn't seem to be enough. Babies grow and change so fast. Elle is now 9 months old and cute as a button. She just started doing an official crawl this week. Next time I visit she will probably be walking. I am thankful that they live in NC and not California, because then I would only get to see them once every five years or so. I like the idea of living close to extended family, especially because I actually like my family and enjoy spending time with them!

  1. It is so nice when you are able to see family when you have not been able to see them in awhile. I moved about 7 hours away from all my family and friends about 8 weeks ago. My best friend and I have been trying to figure out the best way so we can see each other again. Her 3 year old daughter keeps asking if she can go to my house and she has to keep explaining to her that I no longer live close enough that they no longer can visit all the time because of work and school and that I am in the same situation. However, I am also greatful that it is only 7 hours away and not on the other side of the US.
